How long is the full day boat excursion?

The tour is 7 hours long.

Is the pick up from hotel to port included in the cost of the tour?

Pick by private car/van from your accommodation is available at an additional cost of:

Sorrento Area: 100 round trip up to 7 pax
Vico Equense 150 up to 7 pax
Naples 300 up to 7 pax

We are based in Massa Lubrense port and Marina di Puolo port, if you want to be picked up in a different port in the Sorrento area (Sorrento, or Piano di Sorrento) and do not have transportation to Massa Lubrense we can come to pick you up by boat at no additional cost.

Let us know which town you are based on the Amalfi Coast (Positano, Amalfi, Praiano, Nerano) and we can arrange a pick up by boat in your town’s port at an additional cost.

What time does the tour start?

We usually arrange the start time of the tour between 8:30 am-10.30 am. However, our tours are completely customizable, so if you wish to depart earlier or later just let us know in your email request.

Can I arrange the excursion starting later in the day?

Yes, we can begin the tour later on in the day, just let us know.

Where do I meet the skipper?

The skipper will be waiting for you on the boat in the designated port. Depending on the port, the exact location will vary so please see our google images below. The skipper must wait for permission to enter the designated ports, so they may not be present the exact moment you arrive at the dock. Please wait for your skipper to enter the port and embark your group. The skipper will have your contact details in case there are any issues locating the boat.

Is the fuel included?

Yes, fuel is included in the cost of the tour.

What is included in your price?

Our tours include English speaking skipper, Fuel, Snacks, Alcoholic & Non-Alcoholic Beverages (beer, wine, soft drinks, water, Prosecco), Snorkelling Equipment and Pick up by boat from Port nearest you.

What kind of snack do you offer?

We usually offer fresh fruit, and chips.

Which caves will we visit during the Capri Tour?

There are so many gorgeous caves located around the Island of Capri. You will have the unique opportunity to see the White Cave, Green Cave, Coral Cave etc.

I saw you offer drone shots and videos, what is the cost of this service? What is included?

With Mamma Mia Tours you have the add-on option of a photographer onboard who will take photos, videos and drone shots of your day on the water. After the tour the videos and photographs will be sent to you via WeTransfer. It is a great way to capture one of the best memories of your life.

The cost is Euro 150,00.

Do your skippers speak English?

Yes, all of our skippers speak English.

Do you have floats and noodles on your boats?

Yes, all of our boats are equipped with noodles and floats.

What if the weather is bad?

If in the unfortunate event the skipper must cancel the tour, due to bad sea or weather conditions, you will receive a full refund. We will do our best to reschedule your tour in accordance with our availability.

What is your cancellation policy.

You can cancel your tour up to 10 days before the scheduled date of your excursion for a full refund. If the tour is cancelled beyond this date you will not be entitled to a refund.

What drinks are available onboard?

You will find soft drinks, Prosecco, beer and water on board on the day of your excursion.

We also offer the possibility to upgrade your beverage package. If you would like to request a specific wine or champagne, this can be arranged at an additional cost. Please see our menu below for available options.

Can we ask for a particular drink on the boat?

If you would like to upgrade your beverage package, please see our menu for a list of additional premium champagnes, wines and spirits that are available at an additional cost.

How big are the boats?

Our boats are between 9 and 11 meters (30ft/38ft)

Can I pay with credit card?

Yes, we accept all credit cards for payment on the day of your excursion.

Is gratuity included?

No, gratuity is not included in the cost of the tour.

Can I bring food and beverages onboard?

As per our policy we do not allow outside food but we do allow drinks.

Do the boats have a cabin and toilet on board ?

Yes, all of our boats have a full cabin with a comfortable sized bathroom at your disposal.

Is there any shade on the boat?

Yes, all of our boats have a shaded/tented area to retreat from the sun.

What if one of the members of my group suffers from seasickness?

We recommend that they go to a pharmacy in Italy to purchase gum or pills and take them according to the instructions – at least an hour before they board the boat.

Are the tours private?

Yes, we only offer private boat excursions that are completely customizable to fit your needs and desires.

What should I bring on board?

Some suggestions for personal items to bring on board include: sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and a bathing suit.

Are towels included in the package?

Yes, we provide each guests with one towel.

Can I get a better price if I want to book a shorter excursion - for example a 4 hour tour instead of an 7 hour tour?

As we run a seasonal business and fuel costs remain the same for a half-day tour the cost of the excursion does not change significantly by booking a half day.

How can I confirm and secure the booking?

When you decide to finalize the booking you can simply pay a deposit of Euro 200,00 through our PayPal account by scrolling to the bottom of the homepage and clicking the “Pay Now” button. This will prompt you to insert your credit card details.

Do you have snorkelling equipment?

Yes, all of our boats are equipped with snorkelling gear.

Will there be time to explore the towns or islands on foot?

All of our tours are customizable and you can decide with your skipper on the day of your tour how much time you wish to allot to this activity.

Should I hire a guide?

All of our skippers are locals to the area and can provide you with a lot of information. However, if you would like a detailed recounting of the history of the area we would recommend hiring a guide. Let us know and we would be happy to help you arrange this service.

Can we have lunch somewhere?

We highly recommend stopping for lunch at an exclusive restaurant on the water to elevate the excursion experience. Due to the influx of tourists during high season (June to end of September) we suggest making reservations in advance to ensure availability. Please let us know and we would be happy to help you with this at the time of your booking.

Do you have life jackets on the boat?

Yes, in accordance with safety regulations we must have one life jacket per passenger. Please be sure to let us know if you have children under the age of 5 so we can ensure there is a life jacket in their size.

Can we make the tour shorter or extend it?

Yes, it is possible to extend the length of the tour at an additional cost of Euro 150,00 per hour.

It is also possible to shorten the tour, however there will be no variation in the price.

What is the maximum speed the boat can reach?

Cruise speed: 22-24 KTS
Top Speed: 30-32 KTS

I have an infant with me can he/she come on the boat?

Yes, there is no minimum age for young children/infants onboard.

In your opinion, which tour is the best?

The Capri & Positano Tour is our top pick because it gives you the opportunity to see the highlights of both the Amalfi Coast and Capri in one day.

Whereas, the Ischia & Procida Tour is unique because there are much less tourists visiting these islands, making it a more tranquil excursion.

Can the tour start from Naples port?

Yes, we can come to pick you up in Naples port with an additional cost, send us an email for a quote.

Is it possible to see Capri, Positano, Amalfi, Ischia & Procida in one day?

No, this is not possible.

What is the maximum number of people you can host on one boat?

The maximum legal capacity is 12 passengers + skipper

Can we do an half day tour?

Yes, it is possible to organize a half day tour at a discounted rate, in low season (April, May & October).

How long is the Sunset Tour?

It is between 2-3 hours.

How long is the Sunset Tour with dinner stop?

This tour consists of 2-3 hours of cruising time and 1-2 hours of dining time.

What is the Capri disembarking fee?

The island of Capri requires payments of a Euro 100,00 fee per boat in order to drop off passengers on the island.

How long should we spend on Capri island?

We recommend a minimum of two hours and we would recommend asking the skipper on the day f your excursion to arrange a private taxi to avoid long lines at the bus stops, and funicular during high season.

What is the cost of the convertible taxi tour and what is included?

This tour is available for up to 6 passengers per taxi and we can get a quote on request.

During the Capri tour can we stop at the Blue grotto?

Kindly note that if you wish to visit the blue grotto (subject to sea and weather conditions), tickets can be purchased on the day of your tour at their kiosk on the water for Euro 14,00 per person. You will then board a smaller boat that will take you towards the small opening into the cave.

How much is the Blue grotto? Is it included in the cost of the tour?

The blue grotto (subject to sea and weather conditions), tickets can be purchased on the day of your tour at their kiosk on the water for Euro 14,00 per person and are not included in our tour prices.

Do you recommend stopping at the Blue grotto?

No we do not recommend stopping at the blue grotto, as the lines are very long especially in high season. There are a lot of other caves you will see on your tour with us.

What boat typology do you offer?

Our fleet includes a local, artisanal made Sorrentinian Gozzo by the renowned Apreamare company.

During the Amalfi coast excursion could we stop at the Blue grotto?

No, this is not possible because Amalfi Coast is on a different route. We can stop by the blu grotto in the Capri full day tour or on the Capri and Positano full day tour.
